COMMUNITY EDUCATION

Our adult and community education courses are focused on the Hauraki Plains community from which we draw our students. We offer a range of courses designed to meet the learning needs of our adult community. Adult Community Education offers life long learning opportunities for those in small isolated rural communities in the Hauraki Plains area.

The majority of courses are for personal development such as health and fitness, Woodwork and craft activities. We do however, provide two qualifications courses: Heavy Truck Licence and First Aid. We have a link with the tertiary provider WINTEC which provides courses in computing.

We make use of specialist skills within our own College staff as well as those of adult tutors within our community.

For further details Phone 078677029 and ask to speak to our community coordinator, Mary Aislabie.
