The Hauraki Way
We believe that young people learn best in an environment which is orderly and safe. The Hauraki Way establishes clear expectations for student behaviour and encourages self-disciplined, respectful and responsible citizenship.

We take a firm stand, through fair and appropriate consequences, on any behaviour which
compromises the Hauraki Way including disruptive behaviour in the classroom, disrespect towards teachers and aggressive actions such as bullying and fighting. At the same time, students are given considerable support to take responsibility for their actions and to make positive change. Doing the right thing and accepting the consequences of actions are an important part of our school culture. Restorative justice and strength based practices are used to support the Hauraki Way.
